頭痛で、前頭部と側頭部、特にこめかみの痛みと、目の奥が痛み、目が疲れるという症状の場合は、片頭痛や緊張型頭痛を考慮して治療しています。片頭痛だと、拍動性にズキンズキンと痛みま、片側であることが多いですが両側の場合もあります。主な症状は頭痛で、頭の片側や両側、後頭部などが部分的に痛みます。こめかみや目の奥、眉間が痛いと感じることもあります。場合によっては、吐き気や嘔吐を伴うこともあります。緊張型頭痛は後頭部を中心に生じることが一般的ですが、両側の側頭部を中心に、ぎゅーっと締め付けられる痛みもあります。ストレスなどが影響していると言われています。緊張性頭痛はストレスや同じ姿勢がずっと続くなどが原因となっているといわれています。主な症状は締め付けられるような痛みや頭重感ですが、目の疲れ、めまい、吐き気などが出ることもあります。今症例では、前頭部、側頭部に鍼をして、症状の鎮静鎮痛をはかり、バラの香りも添えています。バラの香りには、ストレスホルモンが分泌されるのを抑制する働きがあることが報告されています。頭痛の原因には、ストレスが深く関与していると言われています。大地の恵み、自然の力を自分の力にできたらいいですね。

When a patient has a headache that causes pain in the frontal and temporal regions, especially the temples, pain behind the eyes, and eye fatigue, migraine and tension-type headaches are considered for treatment. Migraine headache is a pulsating, throbbing pain, often unilateral but sometimes bilateral. The main symptom is headache, which is a partial pain on one or both sides of the head, or in the back of the head. Pain may be felt in the temples, behind the eyes, or between the eyebrows. In some cases, nausea and vomiting may accompany the headache. Tension headaches are usually centered in the back of the head, but can also be accompanied by a squeezing pain that is felt mainly in the temporal area on both sides. Stress and other factors are said to play a role. Tension headaches are said to be caused by stress and the same posture for a long time. The main symptoms are a tightening pain and a feeling of heaviness in the head, but eye fatigue, dizziness, and nausea can also occur. In the present case, acupuncture was applied to the frontal and temporal areas of the head to calm and relieve the symptoms, and the fragrance of roses was added to the treatment. The scent of roses has been reported to inhibit the secretion of stress hormones. Stress is said to be deeply involved in the cause of headaches. It would be nice if we could use the blessings of the earth and the power of nature to our own advantage.
