肩甲骨が張っている、または、凝ってしまっている悩みを抱える人が増えてきています。「肩甲骨はがし」などという言葉もでてきました。肩甲骨間をストレッチで伸ばすとしたら、菱形筋にアプローチすることになります。菱形筋は、肩甲骨と肩甲骨の間にある筋肉です。何かを引っ張るときに使う筋肉ですが、座っているようなデスクワークではあまり使う筋肉ではないため、硬くなりがちです。菱形筋が硬くなると、猫背になりやすくなりま。また、肩甲骨が硬く詰まった感じになるだけでなく、背中の血流が悪くなり、背中のハリ、凝り、痛みを引き起します。姿勢の悪い時間が続くと、周囲の筋肉が硬くなり肩甲骨ばかりか、体全体の不調まで引き起こします。肩甲骨は本来、肋骨の上を滑るように動きますが、肩コリが酷くなると、肩甲骨が肋骨にくっついたような形になり動きが悪く硬くなってしまいます。肩甲骨間の筋肉、菱形筋を温める事で、筋肉がほぐれ、代謝や血流が良くなり、筋肉に溜まった老廃物質も血流で流されて、肩凝りや肩甲骨間のコリ、ハリが改善します。
