The purpose of this treatment was to promote flexibility of the scalp and blood circulation to the hair follicles in response to hair loss symptoms. Acupuncture treatment increases blood flow and local body temperature by dilating blood vessels in the stimulating area, nourishes and improves hair follicles, restores scalp flexibility, and promotes recovery of hair follicle tissue. Acupuncture and moxibustion stimulation → dilation of muscle blood vessels → appearance of flare phenomenon → increased muscle blood flow → nourishment to hair follicles and improvement of hair loss.
