反り腰とは、背骨のS字カーブのうち、腰椎の前弯の、腰の反りが強くなる状態です。仰向けで寝たときにベッドと腰の隙間に手のひら一枚分以上の隙間がある場合は、反り腰の可能性があります。反り腰は、腰椎だけの問題ではなく、骨盤や下肢にも影響ができます。反り腰になる原因は、筋肉のバランスの崩れや、体重の増加、ヒールの高い靴の使用などがあります。反り腰が引き起こす問題として、慢性的な腰痛や腰部脊柱管狭窄症があります。腰部を反らす筋肉が過剰に働くと、腰が硬くなっていきます。そこから血流が低下し、やがて腰痛を引き起こしやすくなります。特にデスクワークなどで、同じ姿勢が続くことが、慢性的な腰痛の原因になります。今回の治療では、ひざを曲げ、背中を丸めた状態で刺鍼しています。腰の反りに逆らうように腰を丸めて、反り腰を矯正する姿勢を取りながら、刺鍼することで反り腰の症状の緩和をしていきます。
Arched waist、Warped back is a condition in which the lumbar vertebrae of the S curve of the spine, the kyphosis of the lumbar spine, becomes more warped. If there is a gap of one palm or more between the bed and your lower back when you lie on your back, you may have a warped back. Warped back is not only a problem of the lumbar spine, but can also affect the pelvis and lower extremities. Causes of warped back include muscle imbalance, weight gain, and the use of high-heeled shoes. Problems caused by warped back include chronic low back pain and lumbar spinal stenosis. When the muscles that warp the lower back are overworked, the lower back becomes stiff. From there, blood flow decreases, eventually leading to lower back pain. Continued holding of the same posture, especially at a desk, is a common cause of chronic back pain. In this treatment, acupuncture needles are inserted with the knees bent and the back rounded. Acupuncture needles are applied while adopting a posture that corrects the warped back by rounding the hips to oppose the warping of the lower back, thereby alleviating the symptoms of warped back.
