偽痛風　首が回らない

関節炎を総称して偽痛風と言います。主にピロリン酸カルシウムの結晶が原因です。偽痛風の発作は何の前兆もなく、突然に関節または関節周囲が赤く腫れ、関節をあまり動かせないほどの急性炎症を起こします。放置しておくと徐々に痛みはすすんで激しくなることがあります。
　発作の好発部位は、痛風が足の親指の付け根の関節に多いのに対して、偽痛風では全身のいろいろな関節または関節周囲に起ります。肩、肘、手首、指関節、股関節、膝、足関節、足指関節などで、とくに珍しいのは首の関節にも起こり、急に首が回らなくなることがあります。ただ発作は、同時に多発しないでどこか１箇所の関節に限定して起こることがほとんどです。

Pseudogout is the generalterm for arthritis. It is mainly caused by calcium pyrophosphate crystals. An attack of pseudogout occurs without any warning and suddenly causes acute inflammation of the joint or the area around the joint that is red and swollen, making it impossible to move the joint much. If left untreated, the pain may gradually increase in intensity.
　The most common site of attack is the joint at the base of the thumb in gout, whereas in pseudogout, the attacks occur in or around various joints throughout the body. The most common sites are the shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger joints, hip joints, knee joints, ankle joints, and toe joints, and most rarely the neck joints, which may suddenly become stiff. However, most attacks are limited to one joint at a time and do not occur at the same time.
